National Polytechnic University of Armenia is the successor of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute: one of the leading engineering schools of the former Soviet Union, founded in 1933.
NPUA is an engineering-oriented higher educational institution whose mission is:
 to create and implement academic/research programs and services consonant with educational and technological needs of the national economy and society,
 to prepare students for life, career, life-long learning and professional progress in line with changing economic environment and emerging global information society,
 to create a supportive environment for the comprehensive personal and intellectual development of each individual, generation of law-abiding and responsible citizens.
The scope of programs of the University covers all the main branches of engineering and technologies represented by 29 Bachelor’s and 27 Master’s and over 22 PhD Majors, taught through 45 Bachelor’s and 55 Master’s study programs (specializations). 13 joint Master’s Degree study programs with awarding double diplomas are also developed and successfully implemented together with European and Russian partner universities.

Network University of CIS countries, etc.
was and is involved in many European and other international research and educational programs: has successfully implemented 24 TEMPUS projects in the areas of university management, educational reforms, curricular renovation, quality assurance and strategic planning. At present: 5 Erasmus+ KA2 and 11 KA1 ongoing projects.
